The Graduate Programme offers young engineering graduates a two-year programme to start their careers in the company. Right from the start, you will have a proper role to play and will move at least once during the two-year period. We will work with you to help build your knowledge of the company, its vision and values, and creating your annual development plan which will include training in safety, technical training and Lean Manufacturing, and projects in the field. You will also have the opportunity to develop a strong network of contacts within Rio Tinto, one of the world’s biggest mining groups.

-Suggesting recommendations for medium-term improvements
-Helping to introduce Lean Management methods
-Helping to comply with health, safety and environmental regulations on a daily basis.

Prospects and development opportunities:

Whether you decide to specialise in the technical field or focus more on management, your highly sought-after expertise will enable you to move up to positions of great responsibility within the company.

You will participate in continuous improvement projects in both Leaning Manufacturing and Six Sigma. You will follow technical, continuous improvement and management training programmes.

Lifestyles:

Depending on the opportunities available and your own preferences, you may either be very mobile and travel a great deal - in Europe and elsewhere - or have a more stable working environment (which may involve temporary positions at other sites).
