Job Location: Burscheid

Creating and implementing production concepts for the economical production of metal-based seat structures.

Ensure the manufacturability of the development areas as part of "simultaneous engineering".

Support of plant selection and plant assembly.

Planning and coordination of product launch.

Support in the planning process, costing, and cost reduction activities.

Defining the process and production strategy.

Create process flow diagrams and layouts for the equipment.

Creation of Failure Mode and Effects Analyses for the manufacturing process (PFMEAs).

Responsible for the sustainable optimization of manufacturing processes.

Development and improvement of equipment and process standards (?Best Practice?).

Technical evaluation of manufacturing product and process changes.

qualifications

Degree in technical engineering (TU, FH, BA) or technical training with relative experience.

Minimum three years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in the field of metal components.

Working knowledge of assembly processes: metal inert gas welding (GMAW), resistance welding (spot welding, projection welding), laser beam welding, riveting and screwing.

Experience in plant testing, and gauge planning desirable.
OEM or Tier One automotive experience.

Ideally experienced in or has knowledge of the manufacture of seating.

Knowledge and experience in Lean management desirable.

Outstanding communication skills.

Ability to work in a team.

Willingness to travel internationally.

PC (MS-Office).

English and German business fluent.
